Masha Iakovleva

The originally Russian violinist Masha Iakovleva was 6 years old when she received her first violin lessons. Already at 18e she got a position in Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra in Norway.

A year later she decided to continue her studies in Utrecht, with Philipp Hirshhorn and Viktor Liberman.

Masha Iakovleva has played as a guest in many prominent orchestras, such as the Luzern Festival Orchester, Luzerner Sinfonieorkester, Stavanger Sinfonie Orkest, Norwegian Chamber Orchestra, Norwegian Baroque Orchestra, Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, Netherlands Chamber Orchestra, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Flemish Philharmonic and WDR Sinfonieorchester in Cologne. Masha has been principal violinist with the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra since 1996.
