{"id":4792,"date":"2024-07-21T17:41:18","date_gmt":"2024-07-21T15:41:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/roctet.nl\/?p=4792"},"modified":"2025-02-15T16:39:09","modified_gmt":"2025-02-15T15:39:09","slug":"recensie-concert-bussum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/roctet.nl\/en\/recensie\/recensie-concert-bussum\/","title":{"rendered":"Roctet plays wonderfully fervently George Enescu&#039;s Octet | review in &#039;De Nieuwe Muze&#039;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>&#039;...each member of course has enormous individual technical and musical qualities, but what was particularly striking was the great unity that the performance radiated: a massive stream of swirling lava, always completely in balance, always clear in structure and, above all, extremely experienced. <strong>Van Rijn<\/strong>&#039;s tone is wonderfully velvety where possible, powerful and energetic where necessary and constantly pure and warm, with a flexibility that would not be out of place for a great violin soloist.&#039;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#039;\u2026Second violinist <strong>Julija Hartig<\/strong> &#039;danced&#039; her sometimes difficult counter-voices almost out of her body, sometimes using beautiful, repetitive &#039;upstrokes&#039; where she considered it necessary, and rightly so (and where the &#039;average violinist&#039; would make it easier), and played a truly heartbreaking and moving solo in the third movement.
