In 2013, Filipe was concertmaster of the Youth Orchestra of the Official Music Conservatories of Portugal, in Lisbon, under the direction of maestro Jean S\u00e9bastien in some of the most important orchestras in the Netherlands, including Amsterdam Sinfonietta, Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra and Sinfonia Rotterdam.<br \/>Considered one of the most promising Portuguese violinists of his generation, he was invited to perform as a soloist with the Orquestra Cl\u00e1ssica da Madeira and in 2019 was a finalist in the International Leonid Kogan Competition in Brussels, having received his bachelor&#039;s degree at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, in the class of Ilya Grubert and Maria Milstein.<br \/><br \/>In 2021 he received the 3rd prize in the Pr\u00e9mio Jovens M\u00fasicos, the most important competition for young musicians in Portugal, having also completed his master&#039;s degree at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, generously funded with a scholarship from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.<\/p><p>Filipe also participated in several festivals where he had the opportunity to work with artists such as Sergey Khachatryan, Stephan Picard, Boris Garlitsky, Boris Brovtsyn, Jack Liebeck, Alissa Margulis, Yuri Zhishlin, Eliot Lawson, Maria Milstein, Liviu Prunaru, Christian Altenburger , Tanja Becker-Bender, Christoph Schickedanz and Ilya Grubert.<br \/>Filipe was academician of the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra | Netherlands Chamber Orchestra, and since 2022 Filipe is co-leader of the second violin section of the Radio
